ALKALI RESISTING PRIMER
A premium quality, pigmented primer based on a high performance Styrene Co-polymer. It is designed to offer good alkali resistance, good penetration and has excellent adhesion to most cementitious substrates. It binds the surface to give a solid base for most decorative finishing coats.
COLOUR: WHITE
RECOMMENDED FOR: INTERIOR and EXTERIOR surfaces.
Used as primer on new and previously painted sand/cement plaster, unpainted concrete, gypsum plaster, fairfaced brickwork and fibre cement.
Ideal for harsh conditions.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR: Should not be applied to exterior surfaces close to the sea.
APPLICATION: Thoroughly stir and apply 1 coat of Alkali Resisting Primer to prepared surfaces using a brush or roller at the stipulated spread rates.
Allow to dry before over-coating. When using as an economical finishing coat for ceilings and walls, apply 2 coats.
SPREAD RATE: ± 7m² per litre per coat.
NOTE: The spread rates quoted are approximate and should only be used as a guide as the actual rate will vary depending on the condition and
porosity of the substrate.
OVERCOATING TIME: > 12 hours
CLEANERS/SOLVENTS: Mineral Turpentine
